Sharks In Iraq

The latest bad news from Iraq, Sharks... with lasers... ok, maybe not lasers.

How could this have happened? Global warming? No. Allah is not happy? No. Wait for it...
Iraqi fisherman nets shark 160 miles from sea
A two-meter shark has been caught in a river in southern Iraq more than 160 miles from the sea.
...
...
Locals blamed the U.S. military for the shark's presence.
Tahseen Ali, a teacher, said there was a "75 percent chance" Americans had put the shark in the water.
"This is very frightening for us. Our children always swim in the river and I believe that there are more sharks. I believe that America is behind this matter," said fisherman Hatim Karim.

Damn right we put it there! It is the infamous Carcharodon Busharias... a dreaded predator best known for it's lust for infant Iraqi blood.

...and there is a 100 percent chance that Arabs are effing nuts.

Just the other day I was reading a translation of an interview in which one Arab complained that so many Nobel Prizes have been awarded to Jews and so few to Arabs. Maybe this news item is just one more example of why, Sheikh smarty-pants?

I would have thought that rabid piranha would be a far better choice...

They're quick, love fresh, murky water, can work in the shallows and are quite tasty!
