The press says nothing.
Start watching at 5:45:
"All we are asking people to do is if they are confused about what healthcare reform is going to mean to them, we will clear that up for them."
Here is what the White House web page says:
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.
There is no "if you are confused let us know and we will clarify" kind of statement in there. It is clearly rat on your family and friends who send you emails that do not follow our version of the story.
The frustrating thing is the "reporters" have to know what Robert Gibbs just told them is not accurate and nobody, not one single person calls him on it.
