U.S. consumers should pay for part of Chinese greenhouse-gas emissions - Gary Locke

Not sure why I am so surprised by this.
With the U.S. secretaries of energy and commerce in China this week, much of the attention focused on the standoff over emissions reductions or small breakthroughs in clean-tech cooperation.
But yesterday, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said something amazing—U.S. consumers should pay for part of Chinese greenhouse-gas emissions. From Reuters:

“It’s important that those who consume the products being made all around the world to the benefit of America — and it’s our own consumption activity that’s causing the emission of greenhouse gases, then quite frankly Americans need to pay for that,” Commerce Secretary Gary Locke told the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

Sure Sec. Locke, lets continue to blame America for all the ills we cause everyone!
And didn't China get paid for sending us all the stuff we have been buying?
And out of who's pocket will this come from? Mine will soon be empty after the Democrats get done with taxes and regulation.

This an excellent time to stop buying chicom products. They don't make anything of quality anyway.

Well if Gary wants to start down that path, then all those who buy Boeing jets need to pay to offset the Carbon footprint to build them. The same goes for all the wheat, corn, furit, etc. etc. that we export.
As we all know the US is something like 5% world Pop and uses something like 25% of the energy. That energy/pollution is for the products we make here to feed, equip, etc. the rest of the world.

The whole premise is wrong though, CO2 is NOT pollution. Global Warming is NOT bad. We are experiencing Global COOLING NOW. Why can't these people get it through their heads? Becuase it's a money/power grab and that's it.

Gary Locke - just another insane, idiotic, ignorant, blind, pathetic liberal who drank the Kool-Aid.

Time to start pushing back!

Hmmm. So now we get to pay from both ends. Higher prices for the products we buy to offset the carbon taxes levied against the U.S. manufacturers and higher prices for imported goods from China to offset the (supposed)enviro-climate damage caused by their manufacturers. Sure sounds like Gary Lockstep.
