News Flash! Jay Inslee Lives In The District He Represents

I called Jay Inslee's Shoreline office the other day asking about any scheduled town hall meetings, either in person or on the phone. I was told nothing was planned but that could change because Representative Inslee lives in the district. I then explained to the person that it is a requirement to represent the district.

Early this morning I saw on the news that Representative Inslee was holding a round table discussion at the Dale Turner YMCA at 9:30. I guess that one escaped his office's notice, as well as those who put out his press releases.

Hey give those interns you talked to a break. They're literally being paid in good feelings.

Yeah, I am sure their liberal education didn't teach them to actually do some work. Isn't work against the Democrat creed these days?

I will give them credit for at least trying. Really though, it's easy to see why those office people are leaning toward the public sector: No consequences for disseminating bad information. Small business would wither and die with miscommunication like that!

US Constitution Article I, Section II:
No person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the age of twenty five years, and been seven years a citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an inhabitant of that state in which he shall be chosen.

Congressmen don't have to live in the district, just in the state.
